My experience with the blogs

Hi everyone, I are going to write about my experience with the blogs. I hope it has been a good experience for everyone, because for me it has been of great help. I think that the experience in general was very good. I like too much because I wrote from my perspective, the topics were nice to write and sometimes we laughed and enjoyed doing this. I feel my writing skills have developed enough. I feel that my writing skills have improved in English. WordReference helps in this hahaha I like to include in the future the use of vocabulary in the blogs to learn to use words in different contexts, but out of this nothing. And the subject include little assignments of theater to practice the English, would be entertaining. I would like to write about Human Rights with feminist perspective, native people and environment are themes that I find interesting to talk about. This is my last blog of the semester . Pride Film

“Pride” represents the history since cannot forget that the 1980s and the AIDS boom stigmatized the homosexual community even more. I like the film “Pride”, I loved it because this representation of the reality in community that doesn’t apologize and doesn’t minimize their presence in order not to make the community feel uncomfortable. My favorite character is Mark Ashton because it was he who started the movement Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) when himself warned of oppression of the government to the miners, fought until his friends supported and accepted this as their way. One thing I liked about the film is regardless of the individual case of each character, political commitment immersed in Pride responds with the same arguments to alleviate intolerance to minorities. A subject you enjoyed studying this semester

Hi everyone,   A subject I enjoy studying this semester a lot in university is "Critical Theory" because the teacher is amazing, I have learned a lot, although the subject is complicated, she explains it in a simple way.   In the classes, the teacher talks a lot about Karl Marx, a philosopher, economist, sociologist, intellectual and communist militant, to explain social processes, but we have also analyzed the theoretical research of the Frankfurt School, such as those of Max Horkheimer, Theodor Adorno, Friedrich Hegel and Walter Benjamin.   The subject introduces the student to the knowledge of materialist theories about culture and communication. The foundations of these theories allow to understand the role that the social and economic structure have, especially in the development of three major problems related to the field of communication: the ideological frameworks, the culture industries and the consumer society.   I like the subject because ideas ...

My favorite movie

Hello again, I will talk about my favorite movie, Ogú y Mampato en Rapa Nui released on June 27, 2002. It is an animated science fiction film developed by the Cineanimadores production company and inspired by the seventh book of the cartoon Mampato, "Mata-ki-te-rangui". It is considered the first "modern" animation film made in Chile. Ogú y Mampato travel together through time and space to the mythical island of Rapa Nui. On this trip they will meet a little girl from the place called Marama, who will be his host, guide and companion in this adventure. I like because is part of my childhood, besides is one of movies that more remember. My favorite character is Ogú; he is a nice man from the caverns and friend of Mampato. I recommend the movie because is a story of adventure very funny and interesting, where the protagonists get involved in the conflicts and rivalries of the inhabitants of Rapa Nui. A photograph you like

25/05/2018 20:25 El Tabo (Loreto Paillacar) This photograph was taken by me outside of a restaurant while participating in a workshop about “feminist action from the street”, one way of urban intervention. It shows the stray dog on the side of one bowl that says: Pocillo para “agua de perro”. NO ROBAR. RESPETA. GRACIAS. (Don’t steal. Respect. Thank you). It was taken the Friday twenty six of May this year at 8:25 PM in the “El Tabo”. I like it because I like animals and show sthe humanity and empathy of people facing the vulnerability of animals abandoned in the street. Also I like the colours of evening lighting of photo. Besides the face of dog makes me feel sweetness. The stray animals need help, feeding, much love, one family that take care of them and protection. Lack of conscience in the people regarding the bad condition of animals of the street, especially dogs because they are the majority of these animals.

Bread and Roses (Comment of Loreto)

Yes, I liked the film because address one theme recurring in the society, the immigration. Besides tells the difficulty that it entail as bad work conditions, employee without system of health, not even paid vacation and not even contract of job. My favorite character is Maya because she is very intelligent and very cool. One thing I liked about the film is when Maya escapes from the kidnapper because she was very skilful to evade the person that had her abducted and one thing I didn’t like is when the police of United States take to Maya to prison for rob without giving her one chance. My favorite scene is when Justice for Janitors Campaign won their dispute against businessmen because was the most satisfactory part of the film, watch what all your sacrifice has recompensed. The people are worth of dignity without be important your place of origin.
